No doubt, Korean airlines is an acclaimed carrier company worldwide. But recent experience of mine shows otherwise, though it is quite rare what happened to me. Recently I had planned a trip to Paris, then to London through Korean Airlines business class. As usual, I booked my tickets online, made the given payment, and was provided a 14-digit PNR number. The flight was due in 10 days so I have plenty of time to plan out my activities. I was stoic as I have been planning this route for a long time. I Did my shopping, did my luggage, and was literally ready. Booked an uber to Incheon International Korean airport, had my check in done online, just getting ready to go in the paperwork line and then I heard my Korean Airlines Business Class flight was delayed by 5 hours.

The problem is partially the weather and partially the fleet that was supposed to fly me out of Korea. The fleet was an Airbus A330-300, the right wing of that airplane got damaged in the hangar area, as there was no backup at that time so I waited more than 3 hours just to get the airplane fixed. Then weather hindrance consumes about 2 hours of my time, extending my delay to a total of 5 hours. Anyway, I finally boarded my flight and was in Paris the next day.

Now onwards to the good points of the journey or of Korean Airlines Premium class that I boarded

1. Cabin Crew: Hospitality on the Korean airlines flight was off the charts. For my every inquiry, I didn’t have to wait for more than 2 minutes. From time to time, cabin crew staff make a visit and heed passenger queries. There was an issue with the seat of mine, I politely asked the cabin crew team and in a minute, they got me another seat windowside. Privacy doors were available in the Korean Air airlines business class, ensuring I had a private and personal experience while I am up in the sky.

2. Amenities: Seats are arranged quite exclusively, offering mammoth legroom space and wider seat pitch to make a comfortable stay. Different modes were available on the seat, which can be availed through an electronic panel given seatside. You can recline fully 180-degree, in an obtuse angle or any position suits you. There was a dinner table utility attached to the seat, charging ports, adjustable headrests, and footrest.

3. In-flight entertainment: A big widescreen HD TV is present on all seats if you are boarding the Korean Air Airlines Business Class and Korean Air Airlines Premium Class, otherwise simple and flat tv is accommodated on Korean Air Airlines Economy Class. The in-flight entertainment comprises 50 hours of watching time in which you can play Asian dramas, Hollywood movies, TV shows, latest flicks, HBO MAX, cinematic movies, interactive games, hours of music play, and 3D & animated movies.

4. Luggage: I was allowed to bring 4 items of bags free of cost and one personal item. It covers the entire wardrobe that I planned for my trip and the souvenirs that I purchased here and there. I did not purchase additional baggage though users can buy at the check-in counter by paying an extra sum. Onboard, Korean Air Airlines Business Class, and Korean Air Airlines Premium Class offer closet storage where you can store your clothes, wardrobe, and other items of clothing.

That’s my whole experience with Korean Airlines. I had to suffer initially with the airline delay but once I boarded the airplane, everything was good. If I had to rate airport services of Korean airlines, I would give 3 out of 5 stars and on the other hand, onboard services were 5 out of 5.
