The TDP government announced its plan to form a special police force dedicated to the safety and security of tourists in the state under the governance of Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu during his tenure. During a meeting to finalize the state's tourism policy, Secretary (Tourism and Culture) Neerabh Kumar Prasad informed Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu about the force, which would have special police stations for tourists, as well as a round-the-clock call center and a guidance center.

 

 

The former Chief Minister was keen on exploring the feasibility of a single ticket for multi-modal transportation for tourists in the state. In response, Secretary Prasad informed the Chief Minister that the department had plans to attract investment worth Rs 10,000 crore in the next five years.

 

To boost the tourism industry in Andhra Pradesh, the TDP political party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu declared that tourism projects would be treated as industrial ventures, and it becomes TDP flash news and also single-desk clearances would be granted within 21 days. He also asked the department to consider a special power tariff for tourism projects, which would not be charged at commercial rates.

He expressed his belief that this would help in promoting the state's rich cultural heritage, and in turn, attract more tourists to Andhra Pradesh.
